Joann Monroe
Executive Director

Joann Monroe has been the Executive Director of Garfield Jubilee for 24 years and has worked in the non-profit community development and social service sector for over 30 years. Ms. Monroe has a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and math, both from the University of Pittsburgh.  She has experience in the area of planning, designing and implementing educational and workforce development programs for adults and youths.

Also  experience as a housing developer in building and rehabilitating homes for low and moderate-income families and providing Section 3 employment opportunities in construction to residents who have been most impacted by housing development in their communities.  Ms. Monroe played an instrumental role in the development of 235 new homes in Garfield Heights, now known as Garfield Commons.

She is the founder of YouthBuild program at GJA.  The YouthBuild program is one of GJA’s core programs.  This is a program that provides youth, 16 to 24 years of age, occupational training in construction, health (https://www.lesliemedicalenterprises.com/buy-viagra.html) and retail/customer service, high school preparation, and post-secondary education.
